Teamsters Local 727 with the Labor Alliance for Public Transportation fights to save Public Transit in Illinois

Enterna Williams, paratransit operator at SCR Medical Transportation and proud Teamsters Local 727 member, was a featured guest on WGN Radio 720 AM’s “The Workers’ Mic: Spotlight on Transit,” where she shared about her work advocating for United We Move in the Illinois General Assembly.
In case you have not heard the news, Illinois faces a $770 million transit fiscal cliff. If the Illinois General Assembly fails to act by May 31, we will face drastic service cuts that will negatively impact riders by cutting service, increasing costs, and slowing down commute times.

“The ‘United We Move’ bill is a major legislative priority for us this year in Springfield,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary Treasurer of Teamsters Local 727. “Tell your legislators to support our ‘United We Move’ bill to fund CTA, Metra, and Pace and deliver safer, smarter public transit in Illinois!”
