Over 170 Teamsters Tradeshow members worked this year’s event, performing the essential work of loading in and loading out the freight and materials that keep a world-class music festival operating. Their efforts helped play a vital role in ensuring the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
Major events like Lollapalooza require months of planning and an extraordinary level of coordination. Throughout the festival, our members work long hours in demanding conditions, unloading freight and ensuring materials reach the right place at the right time. Their experience and commitment help keep the operation moving and contribute to the festival’s overall success.
“While concertgoers enjoy the performances on stage, it is the work performed behind the scenes that makes those moments possible,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 727. “Events of this scale depend on the skill and hard work of Local 727 members, whose efforts often go unnoticed by the public but are critical to the success of every show. Their pride in their craft and commitment to getting the job done right continue to showcase the strength of our union.”
