Local 727 Fighting Hard for Its Members, Files Numerous Unfair Labor Practice Charges Against Employers

Teamsters Local 727 is maintaining an active presence before the National Labor Relations Board in 2017, having filed more than a dozen unfair labor practice charges against various employers in the first half of the year alone. Region 13 of the NLRB found merit with four of the recent charges that have been filed.

A summary of the ULP’s filed against companies which employ members of Local 727 can be found below:

  • ABM – failure to provide information and unlawful policies
  • ABS – unilateral changes, direct dealing, failure to provide information/refusal to process information, Weingarten violation
  • Buddy’s Parking – refusal to process grievances
  • CDT – refusal to provide information
  • Chicago Parking Valet – failure to provide information
  • CVS – unilateral changes
  • DoubleTree Oak Brook – bad faith bargaining
  • Pepper – unilateral changes
  • Edwards Valet – refusal to bargain
  • Interpark – unilateral changes, direct dealing, failure to provide information/refusal to process information, Weingarten violation
  • Modell Funeral Home – refusal to provide information
  • Osco – refusal to provide information
  • Pas Valet LLC – failure to provide information, failure to remit dues, delaying grievance/arbitration
  • Prime Parking/River North – unlawful behavior

“We’re proud of our work fighting these companies that think they can circumvent labor laws,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “The Union is not afraid to stand up to any company that violates members’ rights.”
