Local 727 Charitable Fund 2021 Event a Great Success
The Local 727 Charitable Fund would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their attendance and overwhelming support at the 2021 fundraising event. The event took place on Saturday, September 11th at the Hawthorne OTB & Pointsbet Sportsbook in Crestwood, IL. Approximately 150 Local 727 members, retirees, and their families attended the event, along with several of the event’s sponsors which included other Teamster Locals, vendors, and Local 727 employer groups. The event included a buffet lunch, ice cream bar, activities and giftbags for attendees’ children, raffled-off gift bags and prizes, and a beautiful musical performance by Local 727 Executive Board Member/Trustee and longtime 727 member Patrice Jefferson.
“Through the generosity of our Union Brothers and Sisters, and the hard work of those who sit on the Funds Committee, Local 727 is able to give back to the labor community and community at large,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary- Treasurer of Teamsters Local 727. “I could not be prouder of the turnout and overall success of this year’s event.”
The event raised over $45,000 in funds that will be allocated throughout the year to various charitable events and organizations on behalf of Teamsters Local 727.
