Pepsi members at four Chicago-area facilities have the opportunity to vote on a new four-year contract, which the Teamsters Local 727 Bargaining Committee recommends for ratification.
The Teamsters Local 727 Bargaining Committee and Pepsi management returned to the bargaining table on June 10, and after another 10-hour negotiating session, reached a tentative agreement on a new four-year contract.
About 200 Pepsi workers joined members of the Teamsters Local 727 Bargaining Committee on Tuesday in the 35th Street break room to discuss the company’s last, best and final contract offer.
Teamsters Local 727 representatives will be distributing copies of Pepsi management’s complete last, best and final contract offer to the membership at the 35th Street, 51st Street, Elk Grove Village and Kankakee facilities this week.
Teamsters Local 727 attorneys presented the updated contract draft to Pepsi management on Friday afternoon. Once the union has a final, complete contract draft in its possession, it will be sent to a union printing shop to make 700 copies for Local 727 representatives to distribute to members at all four Pepsi worksites for review.
