Union’s Contract Extension Offer Contingent on Osco Accepting Mediation Dates

The Teamsters Local 727 Bargaining Committee on May 4 offered to extend the contract covering about 500 Chicago-area Osco pharmacists until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 20. The contract extension offer, which also includes full retroactivity, is contingent on the company agreeing to meet with the Local 727 Bargaining Committee and a federal mediator on Wednesday, May 18, and Friday, May 20.

Pepsi management sent Teamsters Local 727 a draft contract document incorporating tentative agreements and the already agreed-upon merged language that combines all four previous contracts. The company said it will send the union an updated draft that also includes Pepsi’s complete last, best and final economic offer on Wednesday.
