NLRB Office of Executive Secretary Finally Responds to Union, Assures Local 727 Keurig Dr Pepper Summary Judgement has not “Fallen Through the Cracks”

| January 28, 2020

Teamsters Local 727 continues to check-in with the National Labor Relations Board weekly for updates on the NLRB’s decision concerning union representation of the recently organized Northlake salesmen.   This decision impacts not only union representation but also the multiple unfair labor practice charges filed against the American Bottling Company, a Keurig Dr Pepper subsidiary.  Included among these charges are those ULPs stemming from Keurig Dr Pepper’s refusal to bargaining with Local 727 over a collective bargaining agreement covering sales service representatives and account managers, which Region 13 of the NLRB found merit with last fall.

Local 727 is pleased to report that, in response to the Union’s inquiries, an NLRB representative has finally reached out to Local 727 with the following update: “Please rest assured that [the motion for summary judgement] has not fallen through the cracks.  Unfortunately, the office handling it is a little backed up… But,… the Board generally tries to prioritize these types of things.”

“The Union remains optimistic that the NLRB’s decision will issue soon,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727.  “Nevertheless, Local 727 will continue to fight for fairness and respect for all Keurig Dr Pepper workers.”

To keep Northlake Sales Service Representatives (SSRs) and Account Managers (AMs) up-to-date, Local 727 will be holding an informational meeting for Keurig Dr Pepper salesmen on Sunday, February 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the Teamsters Local 727 Meeting Hall, 1300 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 114 in Park Ridge.

Anyone with questions should contact Local 727 Lead Business Representative Caleen Carter-Patton at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].
