SCR TEAMSTERS ARE TEAMSTERS STRONG!

| August 19, 2024

As the parties head back to the bargaining table tomorrow, it is more important than ever that SCR members remain Teamsters Strong. Drivers, Aides, and Carwashers working for SCR in the CPS and PACE divisions in Chicago and employed by SCR Medical Transportation, a subsidiary of Beacon Mobility, are still on an unfair labor practice strike due to SCR’s unlawful behavior. No one should return to work until the Teamsters Local 727 bargaining committee instructs you to do so. The ULP strike line will continue until the parties comes to an agreement that acknowledges your hard work and the care and essential services that you provide to our Chicagoland communities.

As previously reported, SCR members who engage in the Unfair Labor Practice Strike CANNOT be discharged or permanently replacedif they go on strike to protest the unfair labor practices committed by an employer. It is the Union’s position that your employer, SCR, has committed numerous unfair labor practices during negotiations. As a result, the Union has filed several unfair labor practice charges against SCR which are currently pending with Region 13 of the National Labor Relations Board. Additionally, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) has agreed to provide strike benefits of $1000 per week to each striking member.
