Regional NLRB Finds Merit with Union’s Unfair Labor Practice Charge Against CDT
Region 13 of the National Labor Relations Board has found merit with Teamsters Local 727’s unfair labor practice charge against Cook-DuPage Transportation. The ULP charge stems from the Company’s refusal to provide information to the Union.
CDT is required to post a notice to employees in the driver and dispatcher break rooms for 60 days, beginning no later than January 17, 2018. If you do not see the posting in the break room, please contact your union business representative immediately.
“You would think that CDT would have learned from its past violations of the collective bargaining agreement and federal labor law that Local 727 will not sit idly by when these transgressions occur,” said John Coli Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “As before, the Union will remain diligent in holding CDT accountable for its obligations under the law.”
This is the second time in less than a year that the Regional NLRB has found merit with a Local 727 charge against CDT. In April 2017, Region 13 found merit with the charge the union filed also contesting CDT’s refusal to provide information.
Members with questions should contact Business Representative Donnie Von Moore at (773) 403-1032 or [email protected].
