Union Endorsements for March 20 Illinois Primary Election

The 2018 midterm elections are upon us and Teamsters Local 727 encourages all its members to get out and vote. Early voting for the Illinois primary election begins as soon as February 8 and runs through March 19. The last day to register to vote is February 20. To register online or to verify your registration is correct, visit www.elections.il.gov.

“In the current political environment, with right-to-work threatening the very existence of unions, it is more important than ever that we elect politicians who will fight for working families,” said John Coli Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “We can’t afford to be complacent. Too much is at stake.”

The slate of candidates Local 727 is endorsing this primary season all have strong records when it comes to support for working people and unions. The candidates are as follows:

  • John Fritchey – Cook County Board Commissioner, 12th District
  • Richard Boykin – Cook County Board Commissioner, 1st District
  • Joe Sonnefeldt – Illinois State Senator, 27th District
  • Tom Cullerton – Illinois State Senator, 23rd District
  • Beatriz Ana Fraustro-Sandoval – Cook County Judge of the 14th Circuit

The Illinois primary election will be held on March 20th.
