Secretary-Treasurer Coli Updates Members on Past Month’s Wins at April Membership Meeting and Invites all Members to Annual Picnic Following May 19 Membership Meeting
Secretary-Treasurer John Coli Jr. informed Teamsters Local 727 members of recently ratified collective bargaining agreements, grievance and arbitration wins, and other Union business during Local 727’s General Membership Meeting on April 28, 2019.
Members were also updated on the current status of ongoing contract negotiations including Local 727 and DS Waters, Standard Coffee, Osco, and MV Transportation.
Additionally, CVS pharmacists were updated on the latest unfair labor practice charges filed by Local 727 against CVS for the Company’s heinous and unlawful union surveillance activities and attempts to circumvent the Union and deal directly with employees.
**If you are a CVS Pharmacist who has been questioned by management about your Union activities OR if CVS management has attempted to discuss contract proposals or asked what you want to see in your next contract, contact Business Representative Melissa Senatore IMMEDIATELY at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].**
Local 727 Funeral Industry members were also asked to mark their calendars for the upcoming Spring C.E. Seminar, which will be held on Wednesday, May 29, in the Union Meeting Hall at 1300 W. Higgins Rd. in Park Ridge. Registration forms will be sent to all funeral industry members as soon as the event details are finalized.
Finally, Secretary-Treasurer Coli invited all members to join the Union for Local 727’s Annual Member Picnic directly following the Union’s May General Membership Meeting.
The next meeting will be held at noon on Sunday, May 19 and, weather permitting, will take place in the back parking lot of Local 727. Dress accordingly!
Please note that during the next meeting the membership will be voting on whether to suspend the Union’s June, July, and August General Membership Meetings.
“It’s been a busy and very successful first half of 2019 for Local 727. I hope all of our members will join us on May 19 to celebrate our many Union victories!” said Coli.
