Local 727 to Collect Donations of Feminine Hygiene Products on Behalf of the JC25 Women’s Committee at January General Membership Meeting
The Joint Council 25 Women’s Committee is partnering with the Chicago Period Project to empower homeless and in-need people to experience their periods with dignity. The local nonprofit organization distributes feminine hygiene products and other critical menstruation supplies to shelters, schools, and crisis support networks to help ensure Chicago residents living below the poverty line have reliable access to period supplies.
Teamsters Local 727 will be collecting donations of feminine hygiene products at the Union’s January General Membership Meeting on Sunday, January 26 to aid the Women’s Committee and Chicago Period Project in their mission. The groups have asked for donations of:
- Tampons
- Pads
- Panty liners
- Menstrual cups
- Travel size packs of wipes
- Mini hand sanitizers
- NEW women’s underwear
