The 2019 winter seminar offers funeral directors and embalmers the opportunity to earn up to six C.E. credits and featured a variety of experts and topics, including:

  • “The Tissues Procured and How They Are Used in Surgery,” presented by Anna Michiels
  • “Gun Shot Wounds to the Head,” presented by Gale Bednar-Keefe
  • “MRSA,” presented by Gale Bednar-Keefe
  • “Cremation Authorization Forms,” presented by Stephen Dawson
  • “Remains as Evidence,” presented by Tom Lawler of Illinois Advocates

“Whether it’s through the distribution of over $30 million in Educational Assistance Benefits or by offering our biannual funeral industry C.E. seminars at no cost to our members, Local 727 prides itself on its dedication to supporting our members’ educational goals and aspirations,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727.  “We are proud to be able to offer this seminar to our members and pleased to see so many taking advantage of this free Union benefit.”

Local 727 will hold its next C.E. seminar this spring.  Event and speaker details will be distributed as soon as they are confirmed.
