Union Wins Grievance Against CDT

| July 18, 2017

Teamsters Local 727 recently won a grievance against Cook-DuPage Transportation when CDT terminated a long-time employee without just cause. Through the grievance process, the union fought for and secured the employee’s return to work to her old classification with no loss of seniority.

“This is one in a long line of wins for the union against CDT,” said John Coli, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “As an organization, we take great pride in standing up for our members whenever their contract rights are violated. And we won’t be deterred from continuing to do so.”

Members with questions should contact Business Representative Donnie Von Moore at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].

Nothing in this article should be read as the union’s waiver of any legal argument, position or additional grievance. The union does not forfeit its right to make any and all supplemental arguments.
