Teamsters Local 727 Represents Funeral Members at FDSA Tradeshow

| December 8, 2016

Teamsters Local 727 manned a labor booth at the 11th Annual Funeral Director Services Association Trade Show in Niles, Ill. on November 2.

At the tradeshow, the union answered questions from attending members and reached out to non-union employees to educate them on how the Teamsters protect the rights and benefits of employees in the funeral industry.

Local 727 also provided promotional items, T-shirts and copies of recent funeral contracts to illustrate the union’s efforts toward safe working conditions, fair pay and benefits.

During the day, Local 727 representatives spoke to several interested non-union employees about joining.

“Local 727 has actively participated in the FDSA Tradeshow for a decade,” said John Coli, Jr., President of Teamsters Local 727. “This is a fantastic way to get the word out about what the union does for its members and a great opportunity to grow the union in an industry we have been a part of for generations.”
