Osco Pharmacists: We Need Your Continued Input for Contract Negotiations!

| July 13, 2016

As the Teamsters Local 727 Bargaining Committee prepares to resume contract negotiations with Osco management, union representatives and stewards are reaching out to pharmacists for their input.

Pharmacists overwhelmingly rejected the company’s last contract offer via mail ballot.

“Osco’s last proposal does not address several issues that pharmacists have said are important to them,” said John T. Coli, Secretary-Treasurer. “Once again, we need pharmacists to make their voices heard and tell the Bargaining Committee what matters most.”

The remaining open issues include: wages, wage retroactivity, health insurance, coverage, holiday work rules, part-time scheduling, discipline of head pharmacists, job openings/transfers and personal day pay.

The chart below compares the company’s offer and the union’s last, best and final offer, which the Local 727 Bargaining Committee presented during the last meeting on June 14.

Pharmacists are encouraged to fill out the following form to give their input on which open issues are most important to them before negotiations resume on July 28.

Pharmacists also can contact their union steward or their Local 727 business representative, Zach Frankenbach, at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].
