Local 727 Fighting Hard for Its Members, Files Hundreds of Grievances Against Employers

Teamsters Local 727 has had a very busy 2017 filing grievances on behalf of its members. Since January, Local 727 business representatives have filed over 300 grievances. Of those grievances, over 40 have been filed for arbitration and many others settled with agreeable terms. In the third quarter alone there have been five arbitration hearings.

“This Union takes great pride in its work fighting for members,” said John Coli Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “Local 727 would like to extend thanks to those members who have spoken up about incidents that have led to grievance filings. By members working in close partnership with their Union representatives, we can ensure that employers will be held accountable whenever they may violate the collective bargaining agreement.”

Employers who have had the most grievances filed against them in the third quarter of 2017 include Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution, Standard Parking, Pepsi, and ABM Parking.
