Teamsters Local 727 Urges members to Attend Cook County Public Budget Hearings

Teamsters Local 727 is asking members to show their support by donning Teamsters apparel and attending Cook County’s regional public hearings, which are happening this week. The companies are providing transportation to the hearings.

Each public hearing addresses the union’s strong opposition to the beverage tax and support for the Rideshare surcharge.

Find out about the beverage tax and how it hurts hard-working families here.

Cook County Teamsters urge you to please call your county commissioner to say the soda tax is bad for Cook County and that we support an alternative surcharge on Rideshare.

City residents can look up their commissioners here.
