Update: NLRB Issues Complaint Against Buddy’s Parking Company LLC, Hearing Set for March

| November 30, 2017

Earlier this year, Teamsters Local 727 filed three unfair labor practice charges against Buddy’s Parking, LLC. The charges allege a refusal to bargain in good faith with the Union based on Buddy’s refusal to process grievances, provide information and most seriously, its refusal to bargain over the effects of its total layoff of all bargaining unit employees working at 2 E. Oak St. in Chicago.

Region 13 of the National Labor Relations Board found merit with the ULP charges and issued a complaint against Buddy’s Parking on November 16th. Buddy’s has until November 30th to file its answer to the complaint. The case is set for hearing on March 27, 2018.

“Buddy’s Parking cannot ignore the Union and refuse to bargain without consequence,” said John Coli Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “Local 727 made it clear to Buddy’s that if it continued to disregard the Union then it would have to answer to the NLRB.”

Members with questions should contact Local 727 Business Representative Chris Owoyemi at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].
