Scholarships available through the Chicago Federation of Labor

William A. Lee Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the Chicago Federation of Labor awards 10 scholarships to high school seniors, valued at $2,000 each. The funds may be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.

Completed applications must be received by the CFL by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. The CFL is located at 130 E. Randolph Street, Suite 2600, Chicago, IL 60601. Applications may be dropped off at the office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Mailed applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

Eligibility
-The applicant must be a senior in high school and graduating in the spring of 2018.

-Either the applicant or the applicant’s parent must be a member in good standing of a CFL-affiliated union. To confirm a union’s affiliation status, please call 312.222.1000.

-The applicant must choose to enter either the Random Drawing or Academic Competition for the William A. Lee Memorial Scholarship. Students are not eligible to enter both categories.

-APPLICANTS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER BOTH CATEGORIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

-Only completed applications, with the personal essay, will be accepted. Complete details are included in each application.
