Loews O’Hare Shuttle Drivers Ratify New Contract

| June 1, 2016

Loews Chicago O’Hare shuttle drivers recently ratified a new three-year contract, which includes raises and preserves seniority for the Rosemont hotel workers.

“Protecting our members’ hard-earned seniority rights and keeping health care costs down were our top priorities,” said John Coli Jr., President of Local 727. “This new contract builds on the already strong agreement that existed under the previous management.”

The union fought off the company’s attempts to increase employee health care premiums by as much as 30 percent and secured stronger seniority language, maintenance of benefits and 3 percent wage increases.

Teamsters Local 727 represents hundreds of hotel industry workers throughout the Chicago area.
