Local 727 Stands Strong in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

| October 16, 2017

Braving wet and windy weather, members of Teamsters Local 727, along with families and friends, walked in Park Ridge on Saturday, October 14 to join in solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.

“Cancer survivors and those suffering with this horrible disease need to know that we care about them and that we’re honored to be able to give back in some way,” said walk participant and long-time Local 727 Teamster Carolyn German.

To date, Local 727 has raised $1,520 toward breast cancer research. The Union will continue to accept donations for the American Cancer Society through December 31. CLICK HERE to make a donation.

“I want to thank everyone who donated and who came out to show their support for this noble cause,” said John Coli Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of Local 727. “Coming together for events like this make us even prouder to be Teamsters.”
