Local 727 & MV Transportation Reach Tentative Agreements on First MV-422 CBA and New Loyola Contract

| October 7, 2019

After a full day of negotiations with MV Transportation, Inc. on Thursday, October 3, the Teamsters Local 727 bargaining committee was successful in securing a tentative agreement for the first collective bargaining agreement covering MV-422 drivers and aides.  The tentatively agreed 1-year contract introduces a strong grievance procedure, establishes fair seniority-based bidding procedures, and includes substantial wage raises for all MV-422 workers.

During Thursday’s bargaining session, Local 727 and MV management were also successful in reaching a tentative agreement on a new 3-year successor CBA covering MV Loyola drivers and dispatchers, which includes annual wage raises, increases in paid vacation leave, personal days and paid holidays, as well as improved health care plan options.

Local 727 is currently working to finalize drafts of the tentative agreements, which will be available for members to review prior to the ratification votes.  The Union will update members as soon as details of the MV Loyola and MV-422 ratification votes have been confirmed.

The Union bargaining committees recommend you vote “FOR CONTRACT”
