Local 727 and Home Juice Open Negotiations for a New Collective Bargaining Agreement

| January 17, 2019

The Teamsters Local 727 bargaining committee opened negotiations today, Thursday, January 17th, for a new collective bargaining agreement covering both inside and outside workers of Home Juice.

Local 727 presented the Company with a complete and comprehensive contract proposal.  The Local 727 bargaining committee specifically impressed upon Home Juice representatives the concerns regarding its current disciplinary procedures and route adjustments when an employee leaves the Company.

“Today’s meeting was an excellent first step in the negotiating process,” said Nick Micaletti, Local 727 Business Representative for Home Juice members.  “The bargaining committee was able to relay some of our members’ most pressing concerns and we now look forward to discussing Home Juice’s responses to our proposals when we next meet.”

Local 727 expects Home Juice representatives to review the Union’s proposals and arrive to the next bargaining session prepared to discuss the Company’s responses.  The parties are currently scheduled to meet next on Tuesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, February 7th.

The Union will continue to update members on the progress of negotiations.

Members with questions should contact Business Representative Nick Micaletti at (847) 696-7500 or [email protected].
