Join Local 727 for Walk Against Breast Cancer in Park Ridge, October 14!

| September 15, 2017

Teamsters Local 727 is inviting all members to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Park Ridge, IL. The approximately five-mile walk is taking place on Saturday, October 14th, beginning at 9 a.m. at Hodges Park – 101 S. Courtland Avenue. On-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

As a mile marker sponsor, Local 727 will have a banner posted along the route.

One of the walkers will be long-time 727 Teamster Carolyn German. Cancer has hit her family hard over the years, so she never misses an opportunity to show her support, walking not only in Park Ridge but also at the Soldier Field and Tinley Park cancer walks. The Imperial Parking customer service representative says she walks for her children, grandchildren and for those people who can’t get out or who aren’t educated about the issue.

“The people suffering with cancer need to know that we actually care about them and that we’re honored to be able to give back in some way. I also walk in Park Ridge because I love my local,” German said.
