April Membership Meeting Cancellation Notice

| April 17, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that the Executive Board has made the thoughtful and difficult decision to cancel the April General Membership meeting previously scheduled for April 26, 2020 in order to comply with local, state, and federal regulations put in place in an effort to flatten the COVID-19 curve. As many of you know by this point, Governor Pritzker mandated a “shelter in place” order which was extended until April 30, 2020. Similarly, the CDC has recommended that all large meetings and events be cancelled to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Despite this meeting cancellation please know that the Union remains operational and the Union continues its fight for worker safety during this uncertain time.

As Sunday, April 26th approaches, we will publish reports including business agents’ reports on your employers. If you have not signed up for our email blasts, please click the “subscribe” button on www.teamsterslocal727.org.

While all of the Executive Board and staff of Teamsters Local 727 will miss seeing you this month in person, your health and safety must remain our number one priority.

Fraternally,

John Coli, Jr.
Secretary-Treasurer
Teamsters Local 727
