John T. Coli
Teamsters Local 727 Secretary-Treasurer; Teamsters Joint Council 25 President; International Central Region Vice President
John T. Coli has been a member of the Teamsters since 1971. He was appointed to the Executive Board of Local 727 in 1981 and has served as the Secretary-Treasurer since 1992. First appointed to Joint Council 25’s Executive Board in 1997 as a trustee, he was later appointed Board President in 2002, with re-election in 2004, 2008 and 2012. John is a trustee for the Local 727 Health and Welfare Fund, Pension Fund and Parking Industry Labor Management Committee. He was elected to the Teamsters General Executive Board as a Central Region Vice President in 2006 and re-elected in 2011, and he serves as director of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters' Parking Division. John earned his bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

John Coli Jr.
Teamsters Local 727 President and Business Manager
John Coli Jr. has been a member of the Teamsters since 2000. John earned undergraduate and law degrees from Columbia University, where he received interdepartmental honors for an undergraduate thesis on the Teamsters. John also serves members as a Trustee for Local 727’s Health and Welfare Fund, Pension Fund and Legal and Educational Assistance Fund. John became President of the local union on Jan. 1, 2011, after spending nearly two years as Vice President. He was elected President of the Chicago Entertainment Industry Labor Council and named a Vice President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Newspaper Conference in 2013. He is a member of both Local 727’s Parking Industry Labor Management Committee and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Parking Council and also is a member of the Illinois Bar Association.

Zeberdee Barnes
Teamsters Local 727 Vice President
Zeberdee Barnes has been a Teamster since 1955, shortly after he relocated to Chicago from his hometown of McComb, Miss. He worked as a car hiker at a downtown Chicago garage for more than 40 years and has lived on the South Side since 1963. Over the past five decades, Zeb served as Trustee, Recording Secretary, Vice President and President of Local 727. He also is a Trustee for the Teamsters National Black Caucus Chicago Chapter and a longtime deacon at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church South.

Bill Coli
Teamsters Local 727 Recording Secretary
Bill Coli has been a member of Teamsters Local 727 since 1996 and was elected the Executive Board's Recording Secretary in 2006. The Chicago native also is Fund Manager of the Local 727 Benefit Funds, a position he has held since 1993. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of South Florida and his master's degree in accounting from DePaul University.

Floyd Hughes
Teamsters Local 727 Trustee
Floyd Hughes has been a member of Teamsters Local 727 for more than 40 years, spending the past 15 as a Trustee. The Jackson, Miss., native moved to Chicago when he was a teenager. In 2010, Floyd retired from Mid-City Parking, where he had been a car hiker at three locations. He is Sergeant at Arms and Trustee for the Teamsters National Black Caucus Chicago Chapter.

Curt Ziedrich
Teamsters Local 727 Trustee
Curt Ziedrich, a Chicago native, has been a member of Teamsters Local 727 for 35 years and a Trustee for eight years. He works at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare as a bellman, a position he has held for 35 years. Curt has sat on several contract bargaining committees, working with Secretary-Treasurer John T. Coli and other union representatives on securing new agreements.

Jay Horowitz
Teamsters Local 727 Trustee
Jay Horowitz has been a member of Teamsters Local 727 since 1990, working as an auto livery chauffeur for Piser Funeral Services. The Chicago native has been a Trustee since 2005, a steward since 2004, and has sat on six contract bargaining committees. Jay also has a passion for motorcycles, riding in many charity events throughout the year.

Caleen Carter-Patton
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Caleen Carter-Patton earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. After college, the Bethany, Mo., native completed an internship with Chicago Jobs with Justice, and then went on to do political work for the Chicago Teachers' Union. Before joining Teamsters Local 727 in March 2014, she was a lead organizer for the Fight for 15 campaign, which aims to organize fast food and retail workers across the Chicago area and the nation. She also serves on the Board of Trustees and as a docent for the Illinois Labor History Society, giving labor tours throughout the city.

Mike DeGard
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Mike DeGard has been Teamster for almost 20 years and has 10 years of experience as a business representative, contract administrator and union officer. He previously worked for Teamsters Local 705 and joined Local 727 in December 2013. A DePaul University graduate, he joined the Teamsters in 1997 as a driver for USF Holland. Mike has a strong background in collective bargaining and organizing, and as a business representative for Local 727, he represents members from the trade show and parking industries.

Zach Frankenbach
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Zach Frankenbach, a Chicago native, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently in his final semester at John Marshall Law School. Prior to joining Local 727 as a business representative in August 2014, he worked as a law clerk for Illinois Advocates, LLC, which is the firm that provides legal assistance to Local 727 members through the Legal & Educational Assistance Fund. Zach comes from a union family; his father is a blacksmith and a member of Iron Workers Local 1.

David Glass
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
David Glass was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side. He attended Northern Illinois University and spent several years working in retail sales and customer service before joining Local 727’s organizing team in April 2012. David went on to work as an organizer for Teamsters Joint Council 25 and returned to Local 727 to serve as a business representative in July 2014.

Nicholas Micaletti
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Nicholas Micaletti, a 2004 graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago, has been with Local 727 since 2007. Before coming to the local, he worked for System Parking for eight years, working in every bargaining unit position under the parking industry contract. He currently represents members in the parking industry, funeral industry, racetracks, LifeSource drivers, as well as food distribution workers.

Benjamin Rodriguez
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Benjamin "Benny” Rodriguez is a second generation Teamster who began as a rank-and-file member of Teamsters Local 726 in the trade show industry and as a laborer with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. After attending college and working in the communications and design field, he joined Joint Council 25 as an organizer in 2006 and became a business representative for Local 727 in May 2009.

Melissa Senatore
Teamsters Local 727 Business Representative
Melissa Senatore is a graduate of Colorado State University and Chicago-Kent College of Law. The Libertyville, Ill., native joined the local union in November 2013. Before attending law school, she worked as a casting director in Los Angeles and was a part of the original bargaining unit that was organized by Teamsters Local 399. Her experience helped her earn a labor law scholarship to Chicago-Kent, and she is now putting that knowledge and experience to further use as the business representative for Local 727 movie, parking, newspaper and pharmacy members.

Stephanie Brinson
Teamsters Local 727 General Counsel
Stephanie Brinson, a Houston, Texas, native, has served as Local 727's general counsel since June 2009. She earned her juris doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law after earning bachelor's degrees in mathematics and English from the University of Houston and a master's in English from the University of Tennessee. Before joining Local 727, she worked as an associate attorney at Asher, Gittler, Greenfield & D'Alba -- a union-side law firm -- for four years. As general counsel, Stephanie is the in-house legal advisor to the union, working on contract negotiations, arbitration hearings, hearings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Illinois Department of Labor and other governmental agencies, while also handling union compliance matters.

Jayna Brown
Teamsters Local 727 Staff Attorney
Jayna Brown joined Local 727 as a staff attorney in February 2013. The Bay City, Mich., native received bachelor's degrees in psychology and political law theory from DePaul University before going on to earn her juris doctorate from DePaul. Jayna previously worked as a law clerk for Hogan Marren, a union-side law firm, and as an associate attorney for Children's Law Group. Her father, a former General Motors employee, is a lifelong member of the UAW and her grandfather and two uncles were Teamster drivers.

Maggie Jenkins
Teamsters Local 727 Communications Director
Maggie Jenkins became communications director of Teamsters Local 727 in April 2010 after spending eight years as a journalist. The Omaha, Neb., native, who earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the University of South Dakota, worked for newspapers in Utica, N.Y., Des Moines, Iowa, and Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving to Chicago. As communications director, Maggie creates newsletters, maintains the website and handles media relations for Local 727. She also was elected President of the Teamsters Joint Council 25 Women's Committee in 2013 after serving as Recording Secretary for two years. Contact Maggie
